Strengthening the NCU Community during a time of expansion and growth

If you’ve visited the Scottsdale office recently, you’ve noticed that there have been many changes. In addition to renovating the original Scottsdale space, we acquired the office space just west of ours to support further University growth.

Change is not without its challenges, and it has been a test of patience and understanding for our Scottsdale team as they’ve had to play “musical workstations” and work around construction teams. I was proud to see our teams working together during this time of transition, and I am excited to see everyone situated in their new spaces.

I hope you’ll take a few minutes and view the photo tour of the Grand Opening of our newly renovated facility. We have a new reception area and an enlarged kitchen, you will see a NCU Commons Room that we’ve designed to support creativity and collaboration amongst team members. This is just one of the ways that our team is committed to building and maintaining a strong NCU community through collaborative, cross-functional teams.

Another way our team has recently worked to build our community is the creation of the Value Board. There is a board for each of the University’s four Values of I.D.E.A.s Founded on Integrity: Innovation, Diversity, Excellence and Accountability. Team members have the opportunity to recognize fellow peers who they believe have exhibited one of these values. If you haven’t already done so, I urge you to keep an eye out for team members who go above and beyond to uphold our values and recognize their achievements. And, congratulations to all of you who have been spotlighted!

As you know at NCU, one of our key strategies is to build and maintain a highly engaged University team that is passionate about its mission. Each of us can help achieve this goal in 2013 by continuously improving communication, holding others accountable, and openly demonstrating a commitment to excellence in our roles at NCU.

I believe there is always room for improvement, and my personal goal for 2013 is to spend more time with the teams and enhance our communications to ensure that we’re all supporting each other.

If we all truly care about where this University is headed and surround ourselves with people who share that passion, we are bound to succeed.

Best,
Chris
